The process
The dryer hood takes in heated air and exhausts the saturated air from the drying cylinders through heat recovery. Supply and exhaust fans handle warm, humid, fibre-laden air in stainless steel, with mist elimination on the exhaust.
The gas
Dryer hood exhaust is saturated, warm and carries fibre and chemical traces. Stainless steel construction, drainage and a design that does not trap fibre.
Fans in this process
| Duty | What it does here | Type usually selected |
|---|---|---|
| Hot Air Fan | Circulates or supplies air at elevated temperature to a dryer, oven or kiln. | Backward curved and backward inclined |
| ID Fan | Sits at the outlet of a boiler, kiln or furnace and draws the flue gas through the plant to the stack. | Backward curved, backward inclined and radial tipped |
| Ventilation Fan | Moves air through a plant or building for fresh air supply, heat removal and fume dilution where the system is ducted. | Backward inclined and forward curved |
| Fume Exhaust System | Hoods, ducting and an exhaust fan that capture fume at source and deliver it to a scrubber, bag filter or stack. | Backward inclined and radial tipped |
| Mist Eliminator | Separates entrained liquid droplets from a vapour or gas stream, ahead of a compressor, a fan or a stack.. | Demister Knockdown Vessel |
| HVAC | Supply, return and exhaust fans for heating, ventilation and air conditioning of plant and office space. | Axial, backward inclined and forward curved |
